Water Damage and Carpet

The insured had returned home from vacation to find that his home had flooded since he was gone. They gave SERVPRO of Midland TX a call and we came straight out. The carpet had been wet for longer than about 80 hours. We used our truck mounted extractor to extract about 90 percent of the water out of his carpets, but the carpet had already started de-laminating and we did pull the carpet. We set up our air movers and dehumidifiers and got the walls and the concrete back to levels which allowed the carpet team to come in to replace the carpet.
