Dishwasher leak in Andrews TX

This was the result of the water line running to the dishwasher. It had been leaking for a while. The home owner finally noticed it when his carpet was wet in his dinning room. He started looking and found the line leaking. He gave us a call and we got out there and took a look for him. We treated the areas with our chemicals and cleaned it very nicely. The owner decided he wanted us to remove the area to check behind the wall. We removed the drywall to find that the studs where protected by plastic. We finally placed equipment to get the sides of the cabinet and carpet dried out in a couple of days. Homeowner was very pleased with the work.

Slow Water Heater Leak

The discoloration and mold growth on the interior of the water heater closet was the result of a water heater leak. The delayed leak repair caused the wall to continuously become saturated, which led to mold growth.

Small slow leaks

This was the aftermath of a water heater leaking. The leak was continuous and mold began to grow on the exterior wall of the water heater stand, SERVPRO was able to help the customer with the affected stand. Give SERVPRO of Midland a call for your mold questions.

Mold under the home

SERVPRO of Mildand TX received a call from a home owner here in MIdland, TX about an odor that she could not find. We arrived onsite and started walking up to the door when we noticed the smell. After doing our walk through we found that the problem was coming from under the home. We treated the area and got it cleaned up and then found that there was moisture under her home. We placed our drying equipment and got here dried out. The major thing that we pointed out to her was that she had very limited vents blowing under her home. These vents are to help get air under the home and help keep it dried out and allow fresh air under. She was so happy that once we had completed the smell was gone.

Mold Mitigation

Mold mitigation can be a tricky thing. You can see it on the outside of a wall, but what could be behind the wall? If you see it on the outside of the wall there is a good chance that is has started growing on the backside of the wall also affecting the insulation as well. Before you cut that wall make sure you have the correct personal protective gear on. You will need a long sleeve shirt for the insulation, eye protection, and a N95 mask. If you feel that it might not be for you give SERVPRO of MIdland TX a call and we would be happy to come out and treat the area with our chemicals, remove the drywall and treat the area behind the wall as well.

Mold Growing

This was a nasty little call that we had received. We where able to get in and treat this with our sporicidin treatment and remove the drywall after it was treated. Once the wall was removed we once again used the our sporicidin to treat the studs and framing of the house to help protect it for six months. The customer was very happy we got out there so quickly and get this taken care of for her. If you ever need the help of a professional please give us a call here at SERVPRO of Midland TX we can get it taken care of.

Mold

Here are a few facts about mold:

Mold is present almost everywhere, indoors and outdoors.

Mold spores are microscopic and float along in the air and may enter your home through windows, doors, or AC/heating systems or even hitch a ride indoors on your clothing or a pet.
Mold spores thrive on moisture. Mold spores can quickly grow into colonies when exposed to water. These colonies may produce allergens and irritants.
Before mold remediation can begin, any sources of water or moisture must be addressed. Otherwise, the mold may return.
Mold often produces a strong, musty odor and can lead you to possible mold problem areas.
Even higher-than-normal indoor humidity can support mold growth. Keep indoor humidity below 45 percent.
